Duke Cannon Supply Co. is an entrepreneurial venture with a focus on premium men's grooming/lifestyle products and sold across a variety of sales channels. With a mission to double our sales every year, we are looking to hire a select group of smart, creative, and fun people to help us crush it.

The Duke Cannon management team is seeking a sales associate to drive sales with our independent and specialty customers, and support our sales operations.  The position requires a mix of analytical and strategic skills, as well as a personable, collaborative persona to build the best relationships with our customers.  You must have a passion and desire to work in a highly dynamic, fast growing, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the gifting channel (over 10k outlets in the U.S.) and the network of brokers we employ to drive sales in the channel. Continuously seek ways to improve our channel growth.
  • Orchestrate and lead numerous regional trade shows annually to meet with customers directly, pitch our innovation, and build strong relationships with our brokers. The sales associate will also be responsible for sample sends, staff planning, catalog production, and booth presentation.  Expect to be on the road for these trade shows approximately 50% of working time.
  • Development of all sales materials and displays for trade shows, including product catalog and assortment creation.
  • Report on sales results weekly, provide ideas for driving sales, and execute new Sales team initiatives to maximize our growth.
  • Support new business development in other channels through analysis, outreach, research, and follow-ups.
  • Support sales operations and administrative needs, including order execution, vendor set up and paperwork, and managing ad hoc projects.

  • Attention to detail: Ability to absorb customer-specific detail and track follow-ups accurately and on time.
  • Personable: Ability to interact in a positive, personable, and constructive manner with customers and sales representatives. The ideal candidate must be able to present the brand effectively, and build relationships quickly.
  • Listening: Ability to listen effectively to customers' requests and demands, and turn those requests into sales upside. The Sales Associate is on the front lines of our business, and s/he must be a strong conduit between the customer and the Duke Cannon management team.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to take initiative and seize opportunities using one's own judgement. The candidate must strive to find ways to consistently add value to the organization without waiting for the next direction.
  • Resourceful: Being scrappy i.e., accomplishing objectives with fewer resources and help than one might find in a large company is important. At times, the candidate will need to find new and creative ways to achieve goals.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of previous sales experience in consumer goods or retail is preferred.

Reporting Structure and Company Location

Duke Cannon Supply Co. is located in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis, steps from Target Field, and tons of restaurants and bars.  This person will report directly to the President, and will work closely with the other members of the Sales team.

 Salary and Benefits

Duke Cannon offers a competitive market salary plus insurance commensurate with experience.  Bonus eligibility starts after 6 months of employment.  Because of our rapid growth, bonus payouts have typically exceeded base expectations and compensation increases have been very competitive.
